Beyond what happens in our personal lives and church experiences, we reach out to share the love of Christ through causes we're passionate about. We build on the strengths God has given each of us, partner with community organizations and local churches, and focus on the opportunities He presents... in other words:
We are learning to draw closer to these words of Paul, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippines 4:6-7, NKJV)
Prayer Our God is unbound by the physical world around us, He is near and desires to hear our voices. We help those who have exposed their souls to us, being on the ready to pray by offering up adoration, supplication and thanksgiving to Him! We are intercessors!
Clothing Distribution We distribute over 200 pounds of clothing each week. We need more volunteers to gather, separate and distribute clothing, setup collection points in churches around the cities.
Food Services Breakthrough's Food Services ministry was created to fill a deep need, feeding those who hunger, as directed in Matthew 25. It's become much more i.e., acquisition and preparation of food, set-up, serving, clean-up, etc.
Event Coordinator The Events Coordinator coordinates promotional, training and celebration events for Breakthrough Ministries Women’s Ministry. She also represents Breakthrough Ministries at various networking events.
Prayer Coordinator The Prayer Coordinator will coordinate prayer for the spiritual support, protection, guidance, and direction of the ministry.
Prayer Mentor Prayer Mentors respond to our visitors who have prayer requests by praying for them in the field. This can be followed up with either the gospel or an invite to further interaction in Breakthrough's Discipleship Orientation.
Volunteer Coordinator The Volunteer Coordinator will process and transition new ministry volunteers into their specific ministry stream as well as continue the ongoing process of development and volunteer follow-up.
Team Lead Team Leads represent Breakthrough Ministires by leading, coaching and overseeing a team of volunteers and going into a specific stream of ministry.
Grant Writer The (Part-time) Grant Writer is a new position. Working closely with the Executive Director and Vice President, the Grant Writer will manage all aspects of the grant applications process for family and corporate foundations and for City, State and Federal government grants.
Field Representative Excellent opportunities in the Twin Cities south metro area performing door-to-door canvassing. Primary responsibility is walking door to door, handing out/leaving literature and encouraging people to donate and support Breakthrough Ministries (BTM). Training provided. Interested candidates must have their own transportation and be able to walk for an extended period of time. There will be multiple openings offering 4-8 hour shifts each.
